Exam Certificates available for collection

Students who took external GCSE or A Level exams this summer can now collect their certificates from Reception, between 8am and 4pm. If they wish a parent or friend to collect on their behalf, that person needs to bring written permission from the student themselves.

Sixth Form Open Event

This year’s annual Sixth Form Information Evening at Hitchin Boys’ School will take place on Wednesday 17th November 2021.   In preparation for this day, we have launched the Hitchin Schools' Sixth Form Consortium website, which allows all students interested in joining Hitchin Boys’ Sixth Form to access a presentation from our Headteacher Mr Moane, and our Head of Sixth Form Mrs Christou. HBS will be participating in Odd Socks Day on Monday 15th November, celebrating what makes us all unique by wearing odd socks to school for the day. HBS retains Outstanding status!

Following Ofsted's visit to Hitchin Boys' School in September, we are delighted to announce that we have once again received top marks by retaining the judgement of ‘Outstanding’.   Inspectors visited the school for two days, conducting curriculum reviews and lesson observations followed by a number of focused analyses on behaviour, safeguarding, personal development, special educational needs and fostering of reading.
