Admissions Arrangements

Parents receive information about admission to secondary schools from the Children, Schools and Families Department of Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Hertford, SG13 8DF. Parents are then asked to express their preferences. In the light of this information, children are allocated to a secondary school. An appeals procedure operates if parents wish to challenge the Authority’s decision. The timetable for September 2021 admissions appeals can be downloaded here.

For admission other than direct from primary school, application should be made directly to the Children, Schools and Families Service. More information can be found on the HCC website.
