Y8 & 9 HPV 2

The NHS nursing team will use Hitchin Boys’ School as a venue to administer the HPV vaccination to Year 8 and Year 9 students today. Most students will be given the HPV2 vaccination, and no further action is needed as you gave consent for the full course when the HPV1 was administered.

However, if you know your child has not yet had any HPV vaccinations, please call the team on 01727 732062 to give verbal consent.

Students will be notified by their Form Tutor of their vaccination time. It is preferable that a short sleeved shirt or P.E. top is worn on the day.

If the vaccinations overrun, or students are absent on the day, the NHS will send out details of catch-up clinics in the local area.
