Founders' Day

Our annual celebration of the founding of both Hitchin Boys' and Girls' schools takes place today. Students in Years 7 to 10 will take part in a variety of house activities within school during the day. Years 11 and 13 will congregate at St Mary's Church for a service of music and readings. The names of the founders and benefactors will be read to open the service and we feel that this is a fitting occasion to mark either the end of compulsory schooling or the time for moving on. Lunch for invited guests follows the service and this year will be held at the Boys' School.
