Parents' Society

The Hitchin Boys' School Parents' Society exists primarily as a fund-raising body and is made up of parents and members of staff. Over the years HBSPS has raised substantial amounts of money to support in the provision of equipment and facilities throughout the school, and also provides a social link between parents and the school. In recent years acquisitions by the Society have included new kits for our sports teams, a new piano and other musical instruments. The Society recently donated £10,000 towards the development of new sports changing facilities and £25,000 for the purchase of a new school minibus and has also funded a state of the art computer suite for the Science department and an outside classroom.

A number of successful fund raising and social events are held throughout the year, including a biennial Summer Ball, a Summer Fair, a quiz night, and lots more. The Society also runs two raffles a year, at Christmas and in the summer. The Society also provides refreshments for consultation evenings and bars for music concerts and other productions.

If you are able to support any of these events or have fund raising suggestions, we are always open to fresh ideas.
